Kimberly Ripley was first published in 1999. Her credits include newspapers, magazines like Grand Magazine, Parenting, Discovery Travel, Guideposts, and Home Education Magazine, as well a dozens of anthologies. Her work appears in sixteen editions of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, and five of the A Cup of Comfort anthology series.

Kim's first book, "Breathe Deeply, This Too Shall Pass: Thirty Tales of Trials and Tribulations of Parenting Teens" put her on the public speaking circuit, offering advice and laughter for parents and grandparents across the country. Her second book, "Freelancing Later in Life" speaks to prospective writers. A writing workshop was developed from the book, and has been facilitated in many states across the nation.
New Chicken Soup for the Soul!

Chicken Soup for the Soul Grandmothers
was released on March 22, and features "More" by Kimberly Ripley. Kim wrote this story about a beloved little girl with Down Syndrome who eventually became her granddaughter!
 




Author Appearances


Kim will be appearing at a fundraiser hosted by the Poison Pixies Roller Derby Team in Rochester, NH on Sunday May 1st at noon. She will sign copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul Grandmothers, and the proceeds will benefit the Northern New England Down Syndrome Congress.

The event will take place at the Strafford County YMCA, which is located at 63 Lowell St. in Rochester, NH.
